BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Women's Tennis team wrapped up the regular season with an 8-1 win over Colby-Sawyer College Saturday afternoon.

The win clinches the #2 seed for the Hawks in the upcoming Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament, while Colby-Sawyer claims the fifth seed.

The Hawks took two out of the three doubles matches, with Samantha Curran (Cumberland, R.I.) and Leah Ribchinsky (Ivoryton, Conn.) defeating Liz Lincoln (Plymouth, Mass.) and Claire Toffey (Barnstable, Mass.) 8-6 at #1 and Kristin Dono (West Boylston, Mass.) and Libby Magner (Lakefield, Mass.) winning 8-4 over Carly LaCrosse (Manchester, N.H.) and Siobhan Masse (Southbridge, Mass.) at #3.

RWU swept the singles portion of play, including a 6-2, 6-3 win by Olivia Hilton at #5 to improve to 6-0 on the season at singles. Alexandra Reilly (North Easton, Mass.) also remains undefeated at singles play this year with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at #6.

Also earning wins for RWU was Tracy Klein (New City, N.Y.) and Amanda Wolfe, with Klein winning 6-1, 6-0 at #2 singles and Wolfe earning the 6-4, 6-3 decision at #4.

Colby-Sawyer earned its lone win on the day at #2 doubles, with Stephanie Carlsson (Kungsangen, Sweden) and Carolyn Drake (Great River, N.Y.) defeating Klein and Wolfe 8-6.

Roger Williams (10-4, 10-1 TCCC) will host the as-of-yet undetermined #7 seed Tuesday at 2:00 in the TCCC Quarterfinals, while Colby-Sawyer (8-4, 7-4 TCCC) travels to Endicott Tuesday for the opening round of the conference tournament.
