BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Women's Tennis began Commonwealth Coast Conference play Saturday afternoon with a 9-0 win over Gordon College.

Kristin Dono (West Boylston, Conn.) remained perfect at #2 singles with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Kyra Drescher. She also paired up with Olivia Hilton (Vernon, Conn.) for an 8-2 victory over Drescher and Kallie Garett at #3 doubles.

Samantha Curran earned her first win as a Hawk with an 8-0 win at #1 doubles with Leah Ribchinsky (Ivoryton, Conn.) over Carolyn Meckbach and Katherine Stephens. She then followed that performance with a 6-1, 7-6 (7-2) at #1 singles over Stephens. Ribchinsky also picked up a victory at #3 singles over Garrett, taking the match 6-4, 6-1.

Tracy Klein (New City, N.Y.) defeated Meckbach 6-1, 6-4 at the second singles flight, while Amanda Wolfe (Mansfield, Mass.) won 6-0, 6-1 over Jessica Greenwood at #4 singles. The two Hawks also won their #2 doubles 8-0 match over Greenwood and Hannah Osgood. Libby Magner (Lakefield, Mass.) wrapped up singles with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Osgood at #5.

Roger Williams (1-1) hosts Anna Maria College Tuesday at 4:00 p.m., while Gordon (0-2) will be at Regis College Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
