BRISTOL, R.I. – Nichols College won its third straight match with a 6-3 win over the Roger Williams University Women's Tennis team. Nichols moves to 7-3 and 4-0 in the CCC, while the Hawks fall to 3-3 and 2-2 in the conference.

The Bison grabbed two of the doubles matches and four of the singles matches. Anna Dyakiv and Lindsay Benoit won 8-1 at #1 singles over Tracy Klein (New City, N.Y.) and Samantha Curran (Barrington, R.I.). The two would later pick up wins at #1 and #2 singles against the same opponents. Dyakiv defeated Klein 6-4, 6-4 at #1, followed by a 6-4, 6-1 win by Benoit over Curran at #2.

Caitlin Osepchuk (Ocean Grove, N.J.) played a role in two of the three wins for the Hawks. She paired with Hillary Dutton (Cheshire, Conn.) for a win at #3 doubles against Alex Cifone and Chelsey Miller. She later defeated Kelsey Peterson at #5 singles by a 7-5, 6-2 score.

Miller and Jill McQuiggan earned the Bison's other doubles with, a 8-4 decision over Amanda Wolfe (Mansfield, Mass.) and Libby Magner (Lakefield, Mass.) at #2. Cifone also defeated Wolfe 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 at #3 singles. McQuiggan picked up the fourth singles win, a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Magner at #6.
