BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Women Tennis team's bounced back from yesterday's loss with a 7-2 victory over Bridgewater State University Thursday afternoon in non-conference action.

Tracy Klein (New City, N.Y.), Hillary Dutton (Cheshire, Conn.), and Adriana Maconochie (Easton, Conn.) helped lead the way for the Hawks with wins at both doubles and singles play. Klein notched a 6-1, 6-3 win against Ashley Pereira (Assonet, Mass.) at #2 singles after defeating Lauren Hopp (Dartmouth, Mass.) and Jenna Williamson (Ludlow, Mass.) 8-2 at #1 doubles with Samantha Curran (Cumberland, R.I.).

Dutton and Maconochie teamed together for a close 8-6 victory against Pereira and Brittney Hislop (Burley, Wash.) at #2. At singles play, Dutton needed a tiebreaker to defeat Alison Vautrin (Somerset, Mass.) 7-5, 4-6, 10-6 at #4. In the #5 flight, Maconochie earned the 6-4, 6-3 win against Hopp.

Lauren Schmidt (Guilford, Conn.) and Olivia Hilton (Vernon, Conn.) picked up the remaining points for RWU, with respective wins at #4 & #6 singles.

For Bridgewater, Williamson helped earn one of the two points on the day for the Bears, winning 7-6 (1-0), 6-2 against Curran at #1 singles. Vautrin and Rachel Eramo (Rowley, Mass.) collected the other win for Bridgewater State, an 8-2 win at #3 doubles against Hilton and Alexandra Reilly (North Easton, Mass.).

Roger Williams (5-2) travels to Gordon on Tuesday for a CCC matchup, while Bridgewater State (4-2) will be at Rhode Island College, also on Tuesday.
