St. Scholastica gets best of Women's Tennis

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Roger Williams University Women's Tennis team fell to the College of St. Scholastica by a 7-2 score on Thursday afternoon.

The Hawks managed to take one flight at each of the doubles and singles matches. Samantha Curran (Cumberland, R.I.) and Tracy Klein (New City, N.Y.) paired up for an 8-6 win at the #1 flight over Hillary Bungarden and Alexis Gunderson.

At singles play, Lauren Schmidt (South Windsor, Conn.) notched a 6-3, 6-1 over Gunderson at her #3 match. Curran nearly earned the Hawks another point, but dropped her #2 match 6-4, 7-5 to Rachael Zweiner.

The Hawks wrap up their spring break trip Friday evening against Bethel.
