ORLANDO, Fla. – The Roger Williams University Women's Tennis team dropped its final match of its Florida spring break trip, falling 1-8 to Bethel University.
The Saints grabbed both matches at doubles play and taking the third by default. Abby Kreklau and Kayla Wheeler defeated Samantha Curran (Cumberland, R.I.) and Tracy Klein (New City, N.Y.) by an 8-5 score at #1. Alexandra Brown (Kennett, Mo.) and Lauren Schmidt (South Windsor, Conn.) were downed also by 8-5 to Shanna Burgmeier and Kristin Vivian at #2.
In singles play, Schmidt picked up the lone win for the Hawks, defeating Vivian 5-7, 6-4, 10-6 at #3.
