Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. – The Roger Williams University Women's Tennis team wrapped up its Spring Break trip with an 8-1 victory over Alvernia University Thursday afternoon.
At doubles, Samantha Curran (Cumberland, R.I.) and Emma Limburg (New London, N.H.) improved to 3-0 together after defeating Becca Perkins and Julie Seidel 8-0 at #1. Alexandra Brown (Kennett, Mo.) and Lauren Schmidt (South Windsor, Conn.) notched their team-leading 13th doubles win with an 8-3 victory over Alyssa Boyd and Kristy Schwenk at #2. Harley Kaiserman (Setauket, N.Y.) and Caroline McCarthy (Carver, Mass.) earned their first win as a team at #3, beating Rachael Eberhardt and Lillian Hussar 8-1.
At singles, Adriana Maconochie (Easton, Conn.) rolled off a 3-6, 6-4, 10-3 win over Rachael Eberhardt at #6, while Schmidt took down Boyd 6-0, 6-0 at #2. Seidel picked up the lone win for the Crusaders, coming with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Curran at #1.
Roger Williams (13-5) returns back to Rhode Island and will compete in the Wheaton Invitational on March 23.
