Box Score BRISTOL, R.I. - The Roger Williams University Field Hockey team snapped a four-game skid Wednesday evening with a 4-1 Commonwealth Coast Conference victory over Nichols College.

Roger Williams did not need much time to tally the first goal of the game.
Stephanie Yaeger (Gansevoort, N.Y.) took the ball off of a penalty corner and put up a shot on goal. Brooke Miscbach (Guilford, Conn.) was able to make a kick-save stop on the shot, but bounced it towards
Meghan Curran (West Milford, N.J.). Curran would take advantage of the loose ball and convert the shot for a 1-0 Hawk lead.

RWU added to the lead in the in the seventh minute.
Jenna Clavette (Enfield, Conn.) had possession of the ball on the right side of the circle and was able to find
Lillian McNeil (Marshfield, Conn.) in the middle. McNeil turned and fired a shot into the left corner of the goal, making it a quick 2-0 lead for Roger Williams.

The Hawks controlled the pace of the game for nearly the entire first half. Roger Williams kept the ball on their offensive half of the field for a solid majority of the opening period. In addition, the Hawk defense held Nichols without a shot for the whole period, outshooting the Bison 15-0.

In the opening minute of the second half, the Hawks picked up where they left off, adding another score. Yaeger was able to find
Juliana Miccile (Upton, Mass.) on the left side of the circle for a shot into the right corner of the goal for her third goal of the year.

Roger Williams would not be done with the scoring, putting another tally on the board in the 52
nd minute.
Gabby Masciarelli (Lunenburg, Mass.) had a shot of hers kicked away by the keeper, right towards
Katherine Mahoney (West Suffield, Conn.). Mahoney would put in the shot to build the Hawk advantage to four.

Nichols managed to end the shutout in the 64
th minute. Courteney White (Orange, Mass.) set up a penalty corner to MacKenzie McDonald (Pembroke, Mass.), MacDonald would loft a high-arcing shot over the Hawk defense and into the left side of the goal. That would be the only goal conceded by Roger Williams as the Hawks picked up the three-goal win.

Mya Lunn (Marion, Mass.) picked up the win for RWU, while Misbach had 12 saves for Nichols in the loss.

Roger Williams (3-9, 3-4 CCC) will travel to the University of New England on Saturday for a 1:00pm game. Nichols (1-13, 0-8 CCC) heads to Gordon on Saturday, also for a 1:00pm game.
