The Hawks Lose to Two Ivies in the Beauty and the Beast

Providence, R.I.- The Roger Williams University wrestling team competed against Harvard University and Brown University in the Beauty and the Beast Invitational Sunday February 14th hosted by Brown. The hawks were defeated by Brown 24-17 and Harvard 38-3 with Kyle Foster picking up two wins on the day.
 
In the first dual of the day the hawks faced off against the bears of Brown. Kyle Foster (Somers, CT) started it off for the hawks with a decision over Josh Durso- Finley bringing in three points in 285. Joe Albina (Milford, N.H.) had a major decision in 184 bringing in ten points for the hawks. Senior, David Welch (Salem, N.H.) also had a major decision in 197. In the end, the hawks were defeated by the bears 24-17.
 
The Hawks faced off against the Crimsons of Harvard for their second dual of the day. Kyle Foster (Somers, CT) had the only win for the hawks with a decision in 285 for three points. Despite being defeated, Alec Golner (Tyngsborough, MA) went into overtime with Devon Gobbo in 165. The hawks put up a tough fight but, in the end were defeated by the Crimson 38-3.
 
The Hawks have a Pilgrim League dual match against Johnson and Wales Wednesday February 17th at 7pm in Providence R.I.
