Box Score BRISTOL, R.I.- The Roger Williams University Women's Tennis team fell 7-2 to Holy Cross College this Thursday evening.
 
The Crusaders managed to win at the bottom two doubles flights to take the lead entering singles. The start of competition put the Hawks on the board with Lauren Schmidt (South Windsor, Conn.) and Julia Akerman (Greenwich, Conn.) defeating Abby Henry (Wellesley, Mass.) and Izzy Bagi (Branford, Conn.). However, the Crusaders took down the Hawks in the remaining doubles competitions. Allison Reiling (Mendham, N.J.) and Katie Elia (Erie, Pa.) collected an 8-5 win against Kathryn Hughes (Westford, Conn.) and Gabrielle Riley (Barnstable, Mass.). In the final doubles flight, Cassy Deng (Eden Prairie, Minn.) and Morgan McGuire (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) collected an 8-6 win against Harley Kaiserman (Setauket, N.Y.) and Ali Stankiewicz (Brunswick, Maine).
 
At singles, Reiling began with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Kaiserman at #1, followed by Deng notching a 6-2, 7-6 victory over Hughes at #2. The Hawks would go on to take the next match with Schmidt defeating Henry 6-4, 15-13.  However, the Crusaders would go on to take the following three remaining singles matches. Elia won her match 6-4, 6-1 against Akerman, followed by Bagi's victory 6-1, 6-0. Carolina Kam (Stonington, Conn.) won for Holy Cross in the last singles match against Riley 6-1, 8-0.
