Box Score BRISTOL, R.I. - The Roger Williams University Women's Tennis team rolled to its fifth straight win Saturday afternoon with a 9-0 victory over Wentworth Institute of Technology.
 
The win keeps Roger Williams undefeated in Commonwealth Coast Conference play, as RWU moves to 3-0 in the CCC and 6-1 overall. Wentworth falls to 1-4 in the conference and 1-6 overall.
 
Julia Akerman (Greenwich, Conn.) and Kathryn Hughes (Westford, Mass.) downed Caitlyn Briggs (Lee, Mass.) and Sam Webb (Duxbury, Mass.) 8-3 at #1 doubles, while Allie Grinavic (North Attleboro, Mass.) and Gabrielle Riley (Barnstable, Mass.) collected an 8-1 win over Olivia DeLuca (Dracut, Mass.) and Emily Jodoin (Burrillville, R.I.) at #2. Wrapping up the doubles sweep were Jessica Magliato (New Rochelle, N.Y.) and Caroline McCarthy (Carver, Mass.), who defeated Ellen Butts (Brookfield, Mass.) and Veronica Monteiro (North Andover, Mass.) by an 8-2 margin.
 
At singles, Akerman and Stankiewicz each claimed 6-0, 6-0 wins at #3 and #4 against Jodoin and Webb, respectively. Harley Kaiserman (Setauket, N.Y.) came away with a 6-3, 6-1 victory against Briggs at #1, while Hughes won 6-1, 6-1 over DeLuca at #2.
 
Riley earned a 6-0, 6-3 victory at #5 against Butts, with Taryn Roche (Greenlawn, N.Y.) clinching the singles sweep, taking down Kelsey DeGouveia (New Bedford, Mass.) 6-0, 6-1.
 
On Tuesday, Roger Williams heads to Gordon, while Wentworth hosts Nichols.
