Abby Treweek (Lakeville, Mass.) scored the game-winning goal early in the first half as the Roger Williams University field hockey program scored a 3-0 win over Nichols College Tuesday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action.

Sydney McCarthy (Little Falls, N.Y.) also scored for the Hawks, who held a 17-2 edge in penalty corners and outshot the Bison 24-4.
Nichols freshman goalie Brooke Misbach (Guilford, Conn.) made nine saves while seniors Brooke Marion (South Hadley, Mass.) and Jacqueline O'Conner (Palmer, Mass.), along with freshman Leundra Marsh (Palmer, Mass.), each recorded a defensive save.
Tonight's contest marks the seventh all-time meeting between Roger Williams University and Nichols College. The win extends the Hawks win streak to three and they now lead the series, 4-3.
Nichols (1-6, 0-2 CCC) plays next Saturday, September 24 at Western New England at 6:00 p.m. Roger Williams (1-5, 1-2 CCC) will travel to Salve Regina on Thursday, September 22 for a 6:00 p.m. matchup.
