Bristol, RI- The Roger Williams University wrestling team continues their winning streak after defeating #25 The United States Coast Guard Academy Wednesday night 25-10. The Hawks are now 9-0 overall, ranked 5^th in the country and have four wrestlers ranked in the top ten nationally.
 
The Hawks were off to a strong start when junior, Nick Barbaria (Scarsdale, NY) defeated Earl Roberts of the Bears by decision 10-4 at 125 pounds. Freshman, Tyler Gazaway (New Providence, NJ) also won by decision 6-4 at 149 pounds and senior captain, Ty Herzog (Slatington, PA) also won by decision 5-2 at 157 pounds.
 
The Hawks would then go on to win the next three bouts. Freshman,Taylor Shay (New Fairfield, CT) continues to stay strong as he defeated Michael Palomba of the Bears by SV-1 6-4 at 174 pounds. Senior captain, Joe Albina (Milford, NH) defeated Dan Fiorvanti by decision 5-3 at 185 pounds and Freshman, Christopher Francis (Bristol, RI) also won his bout at 197 pounds by major decision 13-3 over George McBurney of the Bears.
 
The Hawks are home Saturday, January 14^th facing off against Trinity College 1PM and WPI 3PM.
