Men’s Basketball Taken Down By Wentworth

BOSTON, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Men's Basketball team suffered a 67-75 setback to Wentworth Institute of Technology Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference action.

How It Happened
Trey Carrier began the game with a basket for the Leopards, beginning a 12-3 run for Wentworth over the first six minutes of the game. The Hawks would manage to come back in the game, making it a one-point deficit with just under seven minutes to go in the first half (20-21). A free throw by Rich Pugliese tied the game at 21 with 4:16 left and he later gave the Hawks a 27-24 lead with a three-pointer two minutes later. RWU would take a 30-28 lead going into halftime.
 
Roger Williams maintained its lead for the first six minutes of the second half. Wentworth regained the lead with 14:47 left, using a layup to go ahead 39-38. RWU went up 48-46 on an Eli Harris trey, but Wentworth went back up a minute later. The Leopards went ahead late, using a 10-2 run to take a 66-58 lead with 2:38 to play. Wentworth's advantage held on to the end of the game.
