Men’s Lacrosse Shuts Down ECSU Offense

MANSFIELD, Conn. – The Roger Williams University Men's Lacrosse team used strong defense to hold Eastern Connecticut State University to only four goals Wednesday afternoon and come away with a 10-4 win.

The Hawks quickly pulled away with three goals in the five two minutes of play by Tim Mullane (Hanover, Mass.) Jared Grier (Quincy, Mass.), and Jude Marzec (West Islip, N.Y.). Chris Bova (Ridgefield, Conn.) added another goal with five minutes left before Isaiah Washington scored the final goal of the period for a 5-1 lead.

After notching five goals in the opening period, RWU's offense would be held to only five more scores over the rest of the game, including only one in the third period. Peter Navarro (Londonderry, N.H.) had the sole score in the quarter for either team.
