How It Happened
In the top of the first, Case Western Reserve scored four runs giving them a healthy lead to start. The Hawks added one when Jenkins hit a solo homerun to right center. In the top of the fifth, Spartan's Ryan hit a homer to right field to extend their lead 5-1.
Tommy Hobin (Madison, Conn.) and Stone hit RBI singles to give the Hawks a chance in the bottom of the sixth. CWR tacked on three in the top of the seventh, three in the top of the eighth, and one in the ninth to clinch the 13-3 win.
