How It Happened
In the top of the second inning, Case Western Reserve scored three runs and then added one in the third, fourth, and sixth to give them a 6-0 lead. However, the Hawks responded with five of their own in the bottom of the inning sparked by a bases loaded hit by pitch, followed by Stone's two RBI single. RWU added two more runs in the inning to cut the Spartan's lead to one. McConihe hit an RBI single to give CWR another run in the top of the eighth. In the bottom of the ninth, Hawk's Davenport hit a two run homerun to tie the game 7-7. With two outs and a runner on first,
Tyler Cedeno stepped up to the plate and hit a walk off double to bring Stone home and win the game 8-7.
