Women's Tennis Runs It Back Against Salve Regina

NEWPORT, R.I. — The Roger Williams Women's Tennis team defeated Salve Regina 9-0 in their third conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.
 
Hawk Highlights
During doubles, the Hawk's #1's Alessia Cahoon (Dedham, Mass.) and Heidi Martin (Scituate, Mass.) took down opponent's Sailor Nordstrom (New Bedford, Mass.) and Alexa Stevens (Portsmouth, N.H.) 8-3. In the #2 spot, Emma Place (Francestown, N.H.) and Morgan Crimmins (Boston, Mass.) shutout their opponents 8-0. Finally, Olivia Santoro (Cheshire, Conn.) and Kate Hardy (Southington, Conn.) triumphed Salve's #3's Graysen Scherer (Mystic, Conn.) and Isabella Basic (Trumbell, Conn.) 8-2.
 
In singles play, #1 Place conquered Nordstrom 6-1, 6-4. #2 Cahoon and #3 Martin grabbed two wins against Stevens and Haas 6-2, 6-0, 6-3, 6-4. Alexa DiCesare (Norwood, Mass.) received her second win of the season against #4 Tancrede 6-2, 6-2. Santoro and Tanya Giantsos (Old Saybrook, Conn.) clinched the 9-0 win beating their opponents 6-1, 6-3, 6-0, 6-0.
