Women's Tennis Falls to Bison in CCC Semifinals

BRISTOL, R.I. — The Roger Williams Women's Tennis team lost to Nichols College 4-5 in the CCC Semifinals on Thursday night. The women had a tremendous season finishing 6-1 overall and 5-0 in conference play.
 
Hawk Highlights
During doubles play, #2's Emma Place (Francestown, N.H.) and Morgan Crimmins (Boston, Mass.) finished their match first defeating Isabella Winter (Nokomis, Fla.) and Jordan Knowles 8-2. #1's Heidi Martin (Scituate, Mass.) and Alessia Cahoon (Dedham, Mass.) battled Kara Stankewitz (Cologne, Germany) and Kelley Carlin (Brewster, Mass.) until the very end gaining an 8-7 victory.
 
The Hawks were up 2-1 going into singles play when Crimmins and Olivia Santoro (Cheshire, Conn.) won their matches 4-6, 3-6 and 0-6. Unfortunately RWU was unable to come up with any more wins resulting in the 4-5 loss.
