DURHAM, N.H. – The Roger Williams University wrestling team went a perfect 9-0 on Saturday at the David Butler Duals hosted by the University of New Hampshire.
AJ Menendez (River Vale, N.J.) had four pinfall victories on the day at the heavy weight position and
Spencer Fetrow (Holliston, Mass.) was named the events outstanding wrestler.
The Hawks opened the day with a 58-0 win over UConn before following up with a 56-0 victory over RPI. The Hawks then defeated the hosts 60-3 before taking on UMass for a 54-6 win.
The second half of the day was similar, with the Hawks defeating UConn 57-0, facing Maine Maritime 55-6, before facing them in a rematch, winning 42-12. A win by 65 against UMass and a 59-6 victory over New Hampshire closed out the day.
Roger Williams will be in action on Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Roger Williams University Duals Tournament hosted by the Hawks in the Field House of the Campus Rec Center.
