WORCESTER, Mass. – The Roger Williams University men's basketball team fell to Clark on Sunday evening, 95-67.
Roger Williams was led offensively with 15 points from
Mac Annus (Belmont, Mass.), while
Max Manjos (Monroe, Conn.) had 14 points in the loss.
Will MacDonald (York, Maine)had eight points in the matchup while also dishing a team high six assists.
Philip Sughrue (Winchester, Mass.) had a pair of steals defensively.
After a three-pointer by Manjos cut the lead to two, the Cougars used a three-pointer to take a 10-5 lead, using that to spark a 13-2 run over a nearly four minutes. The Clark offense could not be stopped as the Hawks trailed 54-30 heading into the second half.
The Cougars outscored the hawks 41-37 in the second half as they held on for the victory.
Roger Williams (2-2, 0-0 CCC) will travel to Dudley, Mass. on Wednesday, Nov. 30 for a 7:30 pm tilt against the Bison. Curry will then visit the Hawks on Saturday, Dec. 3 in the Campus Rec Center.
