Field Hockey: Hawks Land Three on Second Team All-CCC

CCC RELEASE

BIDDEFORD, Maine
– The Roger Williams University field hockey team placed three players on the All-Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Second Team.

Chelsea King (Schenectady, N.Y.), Grace Rocheleau (West Hartford, Conn.), and Hunter Phillips (Schuylerville, N.Y.) were each named Second Team All-CCC.

King led the Hawks with 28 points this season, appearing in 20 games, earning starts in each of those contests.  Her 28 points ranked tied for fourth in the conference in total points, with her 12 goals tied for fifth in the CCC. King's freshman campaign came with four game-winning goals and four assists.

Rocheleau had a pair of goals and three assists, coming primarily off the bench.  The midfielder served as a key piece as the Hawks offense. Roger Williams used Rocheleau to break out in the midfield, creating opportunities for forwards.

Phillips totaled five points with two goals and an assist, off five shots on the season.  Phillips started 19 games, while appearing in 20.  Phillips was a major factor in the defensive end as well, playing all over the field, on the defensive back line.

Roger Williams (12-8, 3-3 CCC) earned the No. 4 seed in the CCC tournament defeating No. 5 Salve Regina in the Quarterfinals before eventually falling to No. 1 University of New England in the CCC Semifinals.
