BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University men's lacrosse team used an early lead to take a 18-7 victory over non-conference opponent Eastern Connecticut State.
Noah Ravas (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) picked up seven points with five goals and two two assists.
Kevin Murphy (Ramsey, N.J.) went for three goals and a pair of assists, while
Ryan Vendetti (Farmington, Conn.) also chipped in a pair of goals and assists.
Jordan Pivarnik (Trumbull, Conn.) went 12-for-20 in faceoffs.
Tyler Zanini (Hopkinton, Mass.),
Will Railton (Scituate, Mass.), and
Mike Intravaia (Weymouth, Mass.) each had a pair of caused turnovers with Railton grabbing five ground balls in the tilt.
After giving up the first goal of the game, the Hawks responded going on a run of 16 goals with 6:54 remaining in the first quarter until the 10:27 mark of the third frame. The Warriors scored six goals over the final 23:22 as they closed out the contest.
Roger Williams (4-3, 0-0 CCC) will begin Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) foe Western New England on Monday, Mar. 27 at 6 pm on Bayside Field, before traveling for a Saturday, Apr. 1 tilt at Curry.
