BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Women's Tennis team swept Suffolk, 7-0, Saturday afternoon in a Conference of New England (CNE) matchup.

In doubles action, Gabrielle Petroniro (Wolcott, Conn.) and Adriana Palmieri (Southington, Conn.), defeated Callie Clark and Molly Whitfield 6-0 in the No. 3 spot. Securing the doubles point for RWU, Valentina Abarca (Riobamba, Ecuador) and Megan Bache (Westbrook, Conn.) defeated Thu Nguyen and Julia Lanczycki 6-0. Rounding out doubles play and in the No. 2 spot, Izzy Pecora (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and Ella Mancini (Middlebury, Conn.) defeated Nia Bebb and Jaylin Hills 6-0.

In singles, the Hawks' Bache defeated Elizabeth Lassner 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 4 spot, ahead of Palmieri's 6-1, 6-0 win against Jaylin Hills. RWU secured the win as Petroniro swept Elene Nishnianidze 6-0, 6-0.

Finishing up singles play, Mancini defeated Brianna Nelson 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 3 spot, before Pecora defeated Nia Bebb 6-0, 6-2. Rounding out the match at No. 1 singles, Abarca defeated Thu Nguyen 6-2, 6-1.

Roger Williams (13-2, 8-2 CNE) will await the bracket for the upcoming Conference of New England tournament.
