Men's Soccer: Rodriguez, Greenslit Earn Major Awards, Nine Hawks Named All-Conference

BRISTOL, R.I. — Brandon Rodriguez (Norwalk, Conn.) was named Defensive Player of the Year and James Greenslit earned Coach of the Year honors as the Conference of New England announced its men's soccer postseason awards.

Nine Roger Williams University student-athletes received All-Conference recognition, with four earning First Team honors, two selected to the Second Team and three named to the Third Team.

Rodriguez headlined the Hawks' selections, adding First Team recognition to his major award. The senior helped anchor a defense that recorded nine regular-season shutouts and allowed 15 goals across 18 matches for a 0.83 team goals-against average. He also contributed two goals and one assist for five points. Rodriguez earned his third consecutive All-Conference selection after receiving Third Team honors in 2024 and First Team recognition in 2025.

Greenslit earned Coach of the Year recognition for the second consecutive season after guiding Roger Williams to a 12-1-5 regular-season record and an unbeaten 6-0-4 mark in conference play. The Hawks captured the regular-season championship and the tournament's No. 1 seed, closing the regular season on a 15-match unbeaten streak while outscoring opponents 39-15.

Joining Rodriguez on the First Team were forward Dylan Robbins (Johnston, R.I.) and midfielders Aidan Jennings (San Diego, Calif.) and Dylan Thomas (Norwalk, Conn.).

Robbins led Roger Williams with seven goals and 19 points, adding five assists to share the team lead. The senior appeared in all 18 regular-season matches, recording 41 shots, 18 attempts on goal and two game-winning goals. He advanced to the First Team after earning Second Team honors in 2025.

Jennings earned First Team recognition following a regular season in which he appeared in all 18 matches. The sophomore midfielder totaled seven points on one goal and five assists, matching Robbins and Tyler Jastrab (Townsend, Mass.) for the team lead in assists. He also registered 25 shots, including 10 on target.

Thomas secured his fourth consecutive All-Conference selection and first First Team honor. The senior midfielder finished the regular season with two goals and three assists for seven points in 17 appearances. Thomas previously earned Third Team honors and Rookie of the Year recognition in 2023 before receiving Second Team honors in 2024 and 2025.

Senior defender Noah Massotti (Plymouth, Mass.) earned Second Team recognition after appearing in all 18 regular-season matches. Massotti contributed four assists while helping the Hawks produce nine shutouts and complete conference play without a loss.

Senior goalkeeper Eliot Panaccione (Pepperell, Mass.) also received Second Team honors. Panaccione posted an 8-1-5 regular-season record with five individual shutouts and contributed to another combined clean sheet. Across 1,249:11 in goal, he recorded 36 saves, a .720 save percentage and a 1.01 goals-against average. He was the conference's Goalkeeper of the Year and a First Team selection in 2025.

Junior forward Louis Hawkins (Norwich, Conn.) earned Third Team recognition after scoring six regular-season goals and adding one assist for 13 points. Hawkins appeared in all 18 matches, leading RWU with 44 shots and placing 20 on goal.

Jastrab joined Hawkins on the Third Team. The junior forward finished second on the team with 15 points, recording five goals and five assists in 16 appearances. His three game-winning goals led the Hawks. The 2024 CNE Rookie of the Year earned his third consecutive All-Conference selection.

Junior midfielder Kevin DeCapua (Old Saybrook, Conn.) rounded out the Third Team selections. In his first season at Roger Williams after transferring from Monmouth, DeCapua recorded two goals and two assists for six points across 16 regular-season appearances. He registered 38 shots, placing 17 on goal, and scored one game-winner.

Roger Williams, now 13-1-5 following its semifinal victory over Gordon, will host third-seeded Western New England in the CNE Championship on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. at Bayside Field. Making their fifth consecutive championship appearance, the Hawks will pursue their second straight conference title and third in five years after winning in 2022 and 2025.
