BEVERLY, Mass. — The Roger Williams University Men's Basketball team dropped an 81–65 decision to Endicott on Saturday afternoon at MacDonald Gymnasium.
The Hawks trailed 38–31 at halftime after a competitive opening 20 minutes that featured eight lead changes.
Ryan Higgins (Boston, Mass.) knocked down an early three-pointer to spark RWU, while
Finn Miller (Stamford, Conn.) and
Ashton Leclerc (Gorham, Maine) combined for 19 first-half points to keep the game within reach.
Endicott created separation midway through the second half, using a 16–4 stretch to turn a four-point game into a double-digit advantage. The Gulls capitalized on second-chance opportunities, finishing with 22 second-chance points and a 54–31 edge on the glass.
Miller led Roger Williams with 16 points and seven rebounds, going 10-of-16 from the free-throw line.
Owen Boudria (Westport, Mass.) added 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting, while Leclerc chipped in 12 points and three rebounds. The Hawks shot 41.1 percent from the field and 30.0 percent from three but were unable to match Endicott's rebounding presence and interior scoring.
