BEVERLY, Mass. – The Roger Williams University Softball team rounded out the season with Conference of New England (CNE) Weekly Honors, as Shannon Starratt (Lake George, N.Y.) and Madison Moran (Attleboro, Mass.) were named conference Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively.

Starratt, the league's Player of the Week, hit .450 (9-for-20), with seven runs scored, and six RBIs. The junior shortstop tallied five doubles and a home run, posting an .850 slugging percentage and .476 on-base percentage for the week.

Starratt opened the week with a pair of strong performances against Salve Regina, combining for five RBIs, including a three-run home run in game two. She continued against Bridgewater State, recording two hits and two runs scored, before closing the week with a three-hit effort in the opener against Gordon.

Defensively, Starratt totaled nine putouts and seven assists without committing an error across all five contests.

Moran put together an impressive rookie showing across five games, hitting .500 (6-for-12) with four runs scored and a team-best nine RBIs. The first-year designated player recorded three doubles and two home runs, adding to a strong .917 slugging percentage while drawing three walks.

Moran made an immediate impact in the Salve Regina doubleheader, reaching base in both appearances with a pair of RBI doubles while also working three walks in the opener. She followed that with a three-RBI performance against Bridgewater State.
The rookie capped her week in a big way against Gordon, launching two home runs and driving in six runs across the doubleheader, including a three-RBI effort in game one. Moran also had two stolen bases to round out a complete offensive week.

Roger Williams (24-13, 13-7 CNE) will take on No. 3 Johnson & Wales on Wednesday, May 6, in their first game of the CNE Tournament.
