GILBERT, Ariz. – The Roger Williams University Women's Tennis team was named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team, while eight student-athletes were awarded the Scholar-Athlete distinction.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team a program must have a 3.2 GPA or higher for the academic year among all student-athletes. To be an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must hold a 3.5 GPA for the academic year and be eligible on the team's roster.
Recognize on the Hawks' Women's Tennis team, was Adriana Palmieri (Southington, Conn.), Valentina Abarca (Riobamba, Ecuador), Ella Mancini (Middlebury, Conn.), Megan Bache (Westbrook, Conn.), Meghan Hughes (Watertown, Conn.), Gabrielle Petroniro (Wolcott, Conn.), Izzy Pecora (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), and Annette Carter (Bedford, N.H.).
