Austin Nappi is entering his first year as assistant coach at Roger Williams University.

Austin is from the Jersey Shore where he grew up playing baseball mainly as a pitcher. He attended Red Bank Catholic High School, where he led his team to two County Championships. He was named to the All-Shore Teams in 2017 and 2018 and was named Pitcher of the Year in 2017. In addition, he was a member of the Carpenter Cup MLB Scout Team in 2017 and 2018.

After high school, Nappi attended Catholic University where he played baseball for four years and received two bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Theology.

Following his time as a player at Catholic he joined the Cardinals coaching staff for two seasons and helped guide the Cardinals to a College World Series appearance in 2019.

Now in his third-year coaching at the collegiate level he joins the Hawks where he will be working mainly with the infielders.

Currently, Nappi resides in Bristol, RI, and is studying Law at Roger Williams University
