Brandon Shileikis enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Roger Williams Baseball team.
Shileikis joins the Hawks after holding several coaching positions in New England area. Most recently, he was the head pitching coach for the Brockton Rox and the Pittsfield Suns of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. Shileikis is currently the Pitching and Strength and Conditioning Intern at Cressey Sports Performance in Hudson, Massachusetts, where he works with pitchers of skill levels ranging from high school to the MLB.
Shileikis graduated from Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School in 2013 where he was a four-year letter winner in baseball, twice in basketball and once in football. He holds the Dighton-Rehoboth program record for career wins with 29. He was a four-time Attleboro Sun Chronicle and Taunton Gazette All-Star, a two-time Boston Globe and Boston Herald All-Star, and a two-time All-South Coast Conference player during his time at Dighton-Rehoboth.
Before his coaching days, Shileikis spent four years on the baseball team at Quinnipiac University, where he helped guide the Bobcats to three MAAC Tournament appearances and ranks in the top 10 in multiple career and single season pitching records. In his first year with Bobcats, he earned the No. 3 spot in the pitching rotation, appeared in 12 games making six starts, throwing 46.1 innings with a 4.66 ERA. His senior year he saw even better results appearing in 15 games, including 14 starts, throwing 80.2 innings with 69 strike outs and only 14 walks with a 4.22 ERA. Brandon finished his career with the Bobcats accumulating 51 appearances, 5 complete games, 3 shutouts, 200 innings, 118 strikeouts to 56 walks and a 4.36 ERA.
Shileikis graduated from Quinnipiac in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Marketing.
