Assistant Coach - Baseball

Gelzinis enters his first year as Assistant Baseball Coach with the Hawks.

Prior to joining the Hawks, Gelzinis was the Associate Head Baseball Coach for the Massasoit Community College Warriors for the 2022 season. He helped lead the warriors to the No. 2 seed in NJCAA region 21. During his time at Massasoit, Gelzinis primarily focused on hitting and infielders, guiding the warriors to a .307 team batting average and coaching the Warriors' first all American since 2016.

Most recently, during the summer of 2022, Gelzinis served as an assistant coach with the Niagara Power in the Perfect Game Collegiate League where he worked with the outfielders and hitters.

Tim played his college baseball at Elms in Chicopee, Mass., where he was a 4 year starter. During his time at Elms, Gelzinis helped the Blazers have their best season in program history when they finished the 2017 season 32-13. He was a three time All-Conference player and was named to the NECC All-Tournament team in 2017. He is top 10 in numerous offensive categories for the Blazers.

Gelzinis graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Elms and currently resides in North Dighton, MA.
