Eliza Pyliotis

Eliza Davis begins her fouth season as head coach of the equestrian program at Roger Williams. In her first year, Davis lead the team to an impressive third place finish in the IHSA’s Zone 1 Region 1, tied with URI.  She is a 2005 graduate from the University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education.

 

Davis is very familiar with the program, having ridden for the team all four years of her undergraduate career. She served as team captain for the 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons and represented the team on the RWU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). She served as President of SAAC for the 2003-04 academic year.

 

She qualified for the Regional Competition all four seasons. She also qualified for the Zone Championships in 2004 and took a fourth-place finish in the intermediate fences division.

As a senior, she competed in the highest division, open flat and fences. She qualified for the Regional event in both categories. She won numerous first-place ribbons throughout her career while riding for RWU.

 

Since graduation she has been a mathematics teacher at Barrington High School in Barrington, Rhode IslandDavis resides in Portsmouth.
