Tracey Hackley

Tracey Hackley begins her second stint as an Assistant Coach for the Roger Williams University Field Hockey team.

Hackley was a member of the coaching staff in 2024 when the program earned its first-ever NCAA Tournament berth and CNE Championship. 
 
Hackley spent the first four varsity seasons and two club seasons as Head Coach of the team before transitioning to assistant coach due to her own increased work schedule.
 
Hackley presided of the Field Hockey program over the past four years, helping guide RWU to a number of accomplishments since its inception. Under Hackley, the Hawks increased its win total each of the program’s first three seasons, including the team’s first Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament appearance in 2015.
 
Hackley has been a part of the Field Hockey program since 2011 when it was still a club team. After the program was elevated to varsity status in 2013, Hackley stayed on as head coach to guide the Hawks in their first official NCAA season.
 
Hackley brings a wealth of coaching experience to the team. She has been a head coach at the University of Connecticut Elite Field Hockey Camp since 1993 and a coach and instructor at Lead The Way Field Hockey in Saunderstown since 2005.
 
She also served as an assistant coach at Moses Brown High School for three years, in addition to a year as an assistant at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth. Hackley also spent a season as a head coach at Tiverton High School during the 2006-2007 academic year.
 
An alumna of the University of Connecticut, Hackley was a three-time Big East Academic All-Star while at UConn, in addition to playing a role in the team’s 1996 Big East Championship and NCAA Tournament Elite Eight berth.
