Dr. Mark Andreozzi has been with the Roger Williams Athletic Department since 1999. He is currently the Fitness and Wellness Coordinator for the University. In addition, Andreozzi was promoted to Club Sports Director in June 2015 and promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Club Sports and Fitness in the Fall of 2018.

At Roger Williams, Andreozzi maintains a variety of responsibilities. His primary responsibilities include the maintenance, repair and supervision of the fitness center, aerobics rooms and squash courts, and supervising work-study students and maintaining their schedules. In addition, he supervises the strength, conditioning, and personal training of clients and athletes, coordinating and presenting seminars on health, strength training, and fitness, and developing nutrition programs for students and staff. He oversees the Group X class and its development and is also heavily involved in overall program development.

Immediately prior to his position as the Fitness Coordinator/Athletic Trainer, Andreozzi was the Interim Head Athletic Trainer at Roger Williams, where his responsibilities included directing the complete evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of student-athletes’ injuries and general health, and coordinating and managing insurance claims for student-athletes. Before becoming the Interim Head Athletic Trainer, Andreozzi was the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Roger Williams for three years.

Before coming to RWU, Andreozzi earned a wealth of experience in the fields of health, fitness, and sports medicine through a variety of positions. He was a professor of anatomy at the Community College of Rhode Island and the Head Athletic Trainer for both the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks (AHL) and the Peters Township High School (PA). Andreozzi served as a physical education and health teacher in the North Providence School System and at Johnston High School and was also an Athletic Trainer with the Providence Bruins (AHL).

Andreozzi currently coaches ice hockey at Cumberland High School and has also coached at the University of Rhode Island, the Mount Saint Charles Championship Hockey School, and the Rob Barletta Hockey School.

Andreozzi earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Health with a concentration in Athletic Training from the University of Rhode Island in 1996 and a Master’s of Science in Sport Sciences/Athletic Training from the California University of Pennsylvania in 1998. He has recently earned his doctorate in Education and Student Leadership from Johnson & Wales University. He is a certified athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association and a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is a licensed Athletic Trainer by the State of Rhode Island and certified in Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation by the American Red Cross. Andreozzi is also certified as both a Physical Education and Health teacher by the State of Rhode Island.

Andreozzi is married with three children and resides in North Providence.
