Justin McKenna returns to the Roger Williams University Men’s Lacrosse program for his fifth season as an assistant coach.

As a collegiate educator and coach, McKenna worked at the College of Wooster, leading the Fighting Scots as Defensive Coordinator. McKenna’s defenses led the North Coast Athletic Conference in man-down defensive percentage and were second in overall defense in 2008 and 2009. During those two years, the Scots claimed their best two-year record in school history, as well as a top-10 national overall defense in 2008.

Prior to Wooster at Neumann College as the Associate Sports Information Director and Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach. McKenna’s team at Neumann led the conference in overall man-down percentage. McKenna also spent two years at Franklin & Marshall where his assistance on the sidelines led the team to a NCAA Tournament appearance in 2003 and an ECAC Tournament appearance in 2004. The Diplomats ended the 2003 season ranked #5 in Division III, and in 2004 F&M earned a top-ten national ranking in defense.  Prior to joining the F&M staff, he was the special teams coordinator and recruiting coordinator at Lehigh University and orchestrated a highly-touted recruiting class. With the Mountain Hawks, he helped guide the Lehigh man-down unit to a top-five national ranking in 2002.

In addition, McKenna served one year (2001) at the University of Delaware as scouting coordinator and for a perennial top-20 Division I team. That year, the Blue Hens were an American East semifinalist.

As an undergraduate, McKenna attended and played lacrosse at Saint Joseph’s University. While at SJU, he was a four-year letterwinner of the men’s lacrosse team, as well as being a member of the winningest class in program history.
