Amanda Chaiyabhat

Amanda Chaiyabhat joins the Roger Williams University Softball coaching staff for her first season as an assistant coach.
 
Chaiyabhat comes to RWU with a wealth of softball coaching and instructional experience across all levels of the sport.  She currently works as a pitching instructor at The Backstop Softball Training Facility and coaches’ youth softball with the East Coast Scorpions Travel Organization. Collegiately, Chaiyabhat served as the assistant softball coach at Brown University for the 2017-18 campaign and as the assistant/pitching coach at Hood College from 2006-09. In addition, she co-founded and presided as the Co-President of WM Fastpitch Camps and Clinics from 2006-09. 
 
Chaiyabhat is a graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Athletic Training. She starred as a pitcher for McHenry County College (IL), garnering numerous pitching accolades, including holding the single-season ERA record holder for McHenry with a 0.41 ERA.
