Roger Williams University Athletics

David Charbonneau returns for his ninth season assisting the Roger Williams softball team.  In 2009, he will continue to guide the Hawks under Head Coach Steve Pappas.

As a coach, Charbonneau has nine years experience traveling with the softball team on their spring training trip. He was on staff when the team won the Commonwealth Coast Conference softball title in 2001 and 2002. Charbonneau shows his love for the game through his years of experience, saying he has "been a fan and student of the sport" ever since he was young.

Charbonneau is a native of southern New England, graduating from New Bedford High School in New Bedford, Mass. He earned his bachelors degree from Northeastern University in 1973.

Charbonneau has been active in the community, serving as President of the Cape Cod District of the Massachusetts Society of Radiological Technologists and on the Board of Directors for the Portsmouth Lions Club.  He is currently employeed at Navix Diagnostics in Taunton, Mass.
