Caroline Place

Roger Williams University has added Caroline Place for her first season as an assistant coach for the Women’s Tennis team.

Place comes to RWU by way of Virginia Wesleyan College, where she received her BA in Elementary Education. She was a two-year captain and four-year letterwinner as a Marlin. She ended her career with 52 doubles wins and 52 singles wins, both of which place her second all-time in VWC history in each category.

After graduating Virginia Wesleyan, Place spent a year as a third-grade teacher at Norview Elementary in Norfolk, Virginia.

A 2003 graduate of Joseph Case High School in Swansea, Massachusetts, Place also lettered in basketball, in addition to tennis, where she earned the Coach’s Award and Team MVP.

Place currently serves as a substitute teacher of the Bristol/Warren Regional School District and is a resident of Swansea.
