Keith Medeiros '99

Keith Medeiros joined the RWU Wrestling coaching staff in 2017.
 
Medeiros is a 1999 graduate from Roger Williams University with a degree in Criminal Justice. He was a two-time region champion at 134 pounds and a two-time NCAA qualifier. Medeiros was a three-time All-Region wrestler for the Hawks and in 1997 and 1998 was named the Male Athlete of the Year at RWU. In 1996, he was awarded the Male Sharon Castelli Award for dedication, leadership, and courage. Additionally, Medeiros was inducted in to the Bristol High School (MHHS) Hall of Fame in 2014, Roger Williams University Hall of Fame in 2014, RI Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2014, and the New England College Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2007.
 
Prior to coming to Roger Williams, Medeiros was the Mt. Hope High School Assistant Wrestling Coach from 2012-2017, where he graduated from in 1994. He was named the 2012 RI Rookie Assistant Coach of the Year and the 2013 RI Assistant Coach of the Year. As a wrestler at Mt. Hope, Medeiros collected a 123-30 record, was a three-time Rhode Island State Champion, two-time All-New England wrestler and a High School All-American.
 
Medeiros is a member of the Bristol Police Department since 2000. He is the school resource officer at the MHHS and is a 17-year veteran of the Bristol Police Department. Medeiros lives in Bristol with his lovely wife Sarah, their daughter Karsyn and black Labrador, Ziggy.
