Essie Plouffe was named the Athletic Communications Coordinator at Roger Williams University beginning in August 2025.
A self-taught photographer and graphic designer, Plouffe comes to Roger Williams with a passion for storytelling and content creation. Her previous position at Bishop Hendricken High School collaborated with the Director of Communications, Marketing, and Admissions, creating engaging content and managing campaigns for a variety of departments including admissions, arts, athletics, and development.
No stranger to Division III athletics, Plouffe was a four-year starter for Lasell University's Softball team. A Public Relations major and Sport Communication minor, she also completed a full-year internship with Lasell's Athletic Communication office. After graduating in 2020, Plouffe served as an assistant coach for Lasell Softball for three years and managed the team's social media pages for five years.
