Kyle O'Brien joined Roger Williams University as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in August of 2025.
O’Brien comes to RWU with experience across collegiate and high school athletics, most recently serving as a Graduate Intern Athletic Trainer at Central Connecticut State University. While at CCSU, he provided primary sport coverage for men’s basketball, women’s soccer, and baseball.
A native of Whitman, Mass., O’Brien earned dual bachelor’s degrees in athletic training and movement science from Westfield State University in 2023, where he worked with football, ice hockey, and several area high school programs. He graduated in May 2025 with his Master's in Exercise Science.
O’Brien is a certified and licensed athletic trainer, holding CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications. A member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association since 2019, he was recognized as a scholar-athlete at Westfield State, where he was a member of the men's track & field team and served as vice president of the Lambda Sigma Honors Society.
