Soumangue Basse joined as an assistant coach with the Roger Williams University women’s volleyball program in 2026.

Basse brings more than nine years of experience developing athletes, coaching players from elementary through collegiate levels. He has served as head coach with ENVY Volleyball Club and Barrington High School, helping guide Barrington’s varsity and junior varsity programs to Rhode Island Division II state championships in 2024. He is also a co-director of Phenom Volleyball Clinics and a certified Power Core 360 hitting instructor.

A former NCAA Division III and New England Collegiate Volleyball League player, Basse holds an MBA from Babson College and a bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. His certifications include Gold Medal Squared Volleyball, Art of Coaching Volleyball, SafeSport, and IMPACT.
