BRISTOL, R.I.—Sophomore Kristen Metcalf (Londonderry, N.H.) of the women’s track and field team has been named RWU Female Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performance in the TCCC Championship meet.  She was the highest point scorer with 31 and helped the team to victory with an impressive 120-point margin.

 

Metcalf swept the sprints, winning the 100m dash, 200m dash, and 400m dash, earning ten points respectively for each.  She was also a member of two winning relay teams in both the 4x100m and the 4x400m races.  In the field, Metcalf took sixth place in the long jump, recording a distance of 4.31m.

 

Along with her fellow qualifying teammates, Metcalf will compete in the New England Division III Championships hosted at Tufts University this Friday and Saturday.
