BRISTOL, R.I. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference named RWU freshman forward Kaitlyn Bovee (Berlin, Conn.) Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week and Roger Williams University named her RWU Female Athlete of the Week posting three double-doubles in the Hawks’ three victories last week.

She began the week with 12 points and 10 rebounds in a 68-50 win over Western New England College Tuesday. Thursday she registered 10 points and 11 boards in a 60-59 victory at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth. She finished the week posting 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds Saturday in the team’s 58-49 triumph over Wentworth Institute of Technology.

She finished the week averaging 11.0 points and 10.7 rebounds per game, converting 52.2% of her shots from the floor and 70% from the from the free throw line. She notched a pair of three-pointers while also collecting five steals and handing out three assists.

Bovee was also named New England Women’s Basketball Association Rookie of the Week for her efforts.
