BRISTOL, R.I. – Roger Williams University junior sailing skipper Alec Anderson (Tortola, BVI) was named RWU Male Athlete of the Week for November 14, 2011.

Anderson helped lead to a win in the Atlantic Coast Championship, the largest regatta of the fall, where 18 races were able to be sailed. Anderson, contributed toward a team total of 73 points in the B Division, helping to put them ahead of second-place Dartmouth by 21 points. Overall, Anderson contributed by sailing in a total of 13 events, helping to finishing in tenth or better in every race but two, resulting in a total of 5 wins, 3 runner-up finishes, and 3 third-places finishes this past weekend.
