BRISTOL, R.I.- Junior Jamie Dahill (South Boston, Mass.) was named Roger Williams University Male Athlete of the Week after posting strong numbers during the baseball team’s spring break trip to Chandler, Ariz.

 

Dahill batted an impressive .568 during the week, going 21-for-37 at the plate, including three doubles. He registered an on-base percentage of .600 and a slugging percentage of .649 in the team’s six doubleheaders.

 

His outstanding play helped the team get off to a great start to the season with five consecutive wins. By the end of the week Dahill had scored 11 runs and knocked-in eight RBI. He was also a perfect 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts.

 

Dahill and the team, now holding a 7-5 record, compete in their first home game Tuesday, hosting The Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Gordon College. The doubleheader begins at 2 p.m.
