BRISTOL, R.I.- Freshman lacrosse player Claire Halliday (Trenton, N.J.) has been honored as both RWU Female Athlete of the Week and The Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for her outstanding play in last Saturday's victory over New England College.

Starting at midfield, Halliday connected for six goals on eight shots, and added three assists to collect nine points on the day.  She was the Hawks' leading scorer in the 17-6 win.

Halliday is Roger Williams' leading scorer thus far this season, with 26 goals and 31 points.

The Hawks compete again this Tuesday, when they take on conference rival Endicott College in a 4:00 p.m. game.
