The Roger Williams Men's Volleyball Team is coming off another successful year in 2011. The team, who competes in the NECVL Division 1, was able to qualify for the conference championships for the fourth straight year. The 2011 season saw the Hawks notch several impressive wins over high level teams, including victories over UConn and Providence College. The team will see very little turnover this year, returning five out of seven starters. The 2012 Hawks will be led junior captain Will Barone at opposite. Junior outside hitter, Ben Korry, and senior middle blocker, Max Blackledge, will combine with Barone to form a powerful offensive force. The Hawks will also be looking forward to increasing defensive contributions from libero, Matt Gallagher, and defensive specialist Brian Eng.
The RWU Hawks will once again be coached by Jack Delehanty; entering his eighth year as coach. Delehanty is a Roger Williams alumnus, who played for the Hawks from 2000-04. His playing credentials include being named AVCA All-American in 2004 for an RWU team ranked as high as sixth in the nation.
