LEESBURG, Fla. – The Roger Williams University Baseball team fell 10-0 to the Beacons of UMass-Boston Friday afternoon on the 10^th game of the team's Florida Spring Break Trip.

The Beacons scored three times in the bottom of the first, two of which came on an RBI single. UMass-Boston added three more runs in the third inning and one in each of the fourth and fifth innings to grab an eight-run lead.

An RBI triple and an error in the eighth inning led to two more runs for UMass-Boston, putting the Beacons on top by ten.

Dan Julian (Stratford, Conn.) lost the decision, giving up seven runs (four earned) in four innings pitched. Matt Jefferis (Cheshire, Conn.) went 2-for-3 for the Hawks on the day. Mike Pascarella (Milford, Conn.) and Derek Jerome (New Bedford, Mass.) each added a hit for the Hawks in the game.

Roger Williams (3-7) ends the trip with a game against Keene State College on Saturday.
