Conn. College snaps Volleyball win streak

Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Connecticut College volleyball team earned a 3-0 victory against Roger Williams University in the team's home opener played at Luce Field House Tuesday night. The game scores were 25-15, 25-23 and 25-22 in favor of the hosts.

The Camels, ranked #3 in New England remain undefeated with a record of 5-0. The visiting Hawks, ranked #5 in New England, had their four match winning streak halted Tuesday night and drop to 6-3.

Senior co-captain Rachel Schroff (Palos Verdes, Calif.) posted a double-double with 15 kills and 12 digs. Katie Ketcham (San Francisco, Calif.), the New England Small College Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Week, chipped in with 34 assists and six digs.  Caroline Martin (Palo Alto, Calif.) finished with 11 kills and four digs.

Senior co-captain Carly Guiducci (Del Mar, Calif.) posted 11 digs to lead the Camel defense.

The Hawks were led by senior libero Kelsee Loche (Millis, Mass.), who finished with 19 digs in the setback. Rookie outside hitter Elizabeth Flaherty (Sloatsburg, N.Y.) buried nine kills for Roger Williams. First-year setter Nicole Weber (Pousbo, Wash.) finished with 19 assists for the visitors.

The Camels will host Williams College for an 8:00 p.m. NESCAC match up at Luce Field House Friday night.
